Away"
Andrea Soler is a Colombian-Canadian artist. She has participated in shows in Colombia, the United States, England and Canada and has received a number of awards and distinctions.
Andrea obtained her Honorous Bachelor in Fine Arts from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia and as part of this program, she participated in a one year exchange with Virginia Commonwealth University in the United States, where she focused on film and sculpture. After obtaining her degree, Andrea went to England where she took graduate courses in painting and printmaking, specializing in Collagraph and Carborandum techniques. In 1999 Andrea moved to Canada and for four years worked in printmaking at the Open Studio facilities in Toronto. In 2009 she moved to Edmonton, where she did a one year special project in printmaking and painting at the University of Alberta. While continuing with her creative process, Andrea currently works in communications for the City of Edmonton.
